Silvia Cascianelli is a postdoctoral researcher. She earned a PhD in Information Technology at the Politecnico di Milano with her research titled ‘Machine Learning in Oncogenomics: a key to dissecting cancer inner heterogeneity’. She received her MSc degree in Computer Science Engineering from PoliMI, discussing the thesis ‘RNA sequencing-based computational subtyping of breast cancer for clinical outcome prediction’ and her BSc in Electronics and Computer Science Engineering from Università di Perugia, presenting her thesis titled ‘Sensitivity analysis of the signal transduction model in NSCLC cells‘. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Lausanne in Prof. Ciriello’s Computational Systems Oncology lab, and currently participates in the Italian PRIN ARTUSI. Her research interests include Machine Learning, Omics Data Science, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
